Hey all! Time for a text-heavy post! Yeah!


I got the email from my supervisor I had been waiting for this summer; starting this coming Monday, I will be back at the paint shop at Yale working on the backdrop for the Boston Ballet's Nutcracker.
It's approximately 70 feet long and 30 feet high...so pretty much the biggest freaking thing I have ever worked on. I'll try and take as many photos as I can to update my little blog with the progress. It should be a fun and challenging experience. Cheers!

Nautilus! Decided to keep on the trend of these black and white watercolors.

And here's the Coelacanth from earlier. I wanted to mess around with it in Photoshop. I think it turned out neat.

Can't lie and say I didn't have Ronnie James Dio's voice in my head screaming "HOLY DIVAH!" while making this.

Squishy little Metroid! D'awwww

That little head turned into a flabbergasted Dr. Manhattan. I kind of dig painting over my instagram pictures. I'm enjoying the grainy texture.

A little sketch update. It's been outrageously hot in the Northeast, and it's slowed my art-ing to a crawl (also, other life things have been popping up too). I am trying my best to get back on track!
